The man’s body was discovered in Saratoga County at around 2 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, in Congress Park in Saratoga Springs, according to police.
Two hours earlier, Saratoga Springs Police had been contacted by the Colonie Police Department requesting help locating a missing person believed to be in downtown Saratoga Springs.
Using city cameras in the area, officers were able to determine that the man’s last location was in Congress Park.
His body was later found in a pond by the park’s war memorial, according to police.
Investigators said based on the evidence, the man was alone at the time and there is no indication of foul play or any threat to the public.
An autopsy was conducted on Tuesday, Nov. 1, though no official cause of death had been made public hours later.
Police also declined to release the man’s name until his family had been notified.
